The McHarper Wedding

6th MAY, 2023

Our story

Wedding gifts

We are excited to start our lives together, and we are thankful to share our special day with you.

As we enter our marriage, we realise that we have enough belongings. Therefore, we have decided to plan the honeymoon of our dreams.

Our wedding registry includes a honeymoon fund for a trip to Canada along with personalized experiences — such as excursions, meals, and treats — that can be given as wedding gifts.

We also look forward to providing glimpses into our honeymoon when we return. Thank you!

The Sunday

If it's sunny...

  • Brighton Beach
  • 3:00 p.m.
  • We will be meeting outside the Grand for chips, a glass of prosecco and (if you fancy it) a quick dip in the sea!

If it's rainy...

  • Location TBC
  • 3:00 p.m.
  • Come by for a chat, a drink and a quick dash to the sea!

  • Will there be an open bar?

Alcohol and soft drinks will be supplied for the drinks reception and dinner. We will then have a paid bar in the evening.

  • What is a ceilidh?

Originally the word Ceilidh (kay-lee) descended from the Gaelic word for ‘gathering’ or ‘party'. However, these days when people think of a Ceilidh, they think of a fun-filled night of wild dancing, good music and great company! You will be walked through the steps (so there’s nothing to be worried about!) before picking it up and dancing around the barn. You can watch snippets of ceilidh here.

We recommend bringing along a pair of flats/trainers for it!

  • Will there be food in the evening?

Yes, after the ceilidh we will fuel up on evening snacks before the disco starts.

What is the colour scheme for the wedding?

  • Some people have been asking for our wedding colours to co-ordinate their wedding outfits - our wedding colours will be greens, whites and a little bit of purple (see the side bar).

Your invitation is made from seeded paper, so once you have finished with it, plant it and grow some lovely wildflowers!
